About Marva Titley-Smith, CMgr FCMI CCM
Marva Titley-Smith, CMgr FCMI CCM is the founder of MatrixSpark and its Managing Director/CEO.
When Marva obtained her Master of Science in Architecture & Urban Design from Columbia University in 1996 she became the BVI’s first local female architect. Not surprisingly, she is probably best known for her role in urban planning in the BVI, thanks to her extensive public service career spanning 26 years.
In addition to her leading role in public sector urban development, Marva was fortunate to have worked in organisational change, external affairs, and policy development.
In 2012, she retired from her post as Chief Planner, Town & Country Planning Department and founded MatrixSpark. However, she continues to support public sector development through her role on various boards.
Marva is a Certified Business Continuity Manager, Chartered Manager and a Fellow of the UK-based Chartered Management Institute. Since 2012 she has been the lead tutor for the Chartered Management Institute’s management and leadership training programme at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.
She is the President of the Overseas Countries and Territories Chapter of the Caribbean Management Consultants (CMC), and a member of the CMC’s Board of Directors.
Marva is actively involved in community service and is a founding member of the Zonta Club of Tortola, where she currently holds the post of President.
